Redeeming the time – we agree.
The Bible mention that we are to aware and ” Redeeming the time, because the days are evil ” Ephesians 5:16 KJV. Redeeming also mean “able to save people from sin, error, or evil.” So we are to be prudent and vigilant about what’s going on around us in our direct personal life and walk with God, and in the life of others at all levels of society without getting involved in the evil or sins of the world.
We can first pay attention to what’s happening in the life of our families, friends and neighbors. Because the changes taking place there can immediately or one day soon affect (positively or adversely) our life as well. Then pay attention to the environment in which we each live (for example, our neighborhood, city, state, country, etc). Spiritual blindness is never the will of God for any Believer who is saved (in obedience to Acts 2:38). I have no other experience, so I cannot speak (or write) in relation to other religions, denomination, beliefs, etc. But I know that once we are saved, we are to “watch” for the second coming of Christ and be prepared/ready.
Readiness means (in part) being aware of redeeming the time in which we live. Some of what we are experiencing in our life, others who lived in the 12th Century or the 18th Century or during Jesus Apostles time, was very different from now. Sin or evil is always present even back then. It many have changed “forms” but it’s still sin/evil according to the Bible. If we cannot see that, know and understand the difference we are “spiritually blind” and will not know how or when to redeem the time in which we live.
A truly holy Apostolic Christian will never agree with or take the side of sin or evil. That is contrary to the nature of God. We are to live our life to please God – not man or the System in which we live. Whether that means (to some people) getting involve with the Governance of a City, State, Country or just the “System” will differ from person to person – even with the Apostolic Saints of God. We will all have to answer to God in the final analysis about what we liked, supported and got involved with. We are to be “in the world” but not “of the world” according to John 17:15-16 KJV.
Let us be careful about what we say, agree with and “endorse” while we are in the world. The changing times are not, never were and never will be, for God: Jesus but for the enemy of God. Our time is looking for and preparing for the second coming of Christ.
